League Cup, 1° turno: crollano Middlesbrough e Brighton, bene il Charlton

Quando mancano meno di due settimane all’inizio della Premier League, ricomincia il calcio che conta in Inghilterra con il primo turno di Coppa di Lega, Capital One Cup, che ha proposto subito alcune eliminazioni eccellenti.

A sorpresa, cadono in casa Middlesbrough e Brighton, rispettivamente contro Accrington Stanley e Newport County. Non ha problemi, invece, il Charlton, mentre la finalista dello scorso anno, il Bradford City, perde sul campo dell’Huddersfield e saluta la competizione già al primo atto.
