La Football Association ha da poco reso noti gli accoppiamenti del terzo turno della Fa Cup. Su ben 64 squadre ancora in gioco, incredibilmente dall’urna sono usciti i nomi delle due squadre di Manchester per il terzo accoppiamento. City e United daranno vita quindi all’ennesimo derby di stagione. L’Arsenal affronterà il Leeds mentre altre due squadre di Premier si scontreranno tra loro e cioè Newcastle e Blackburn. Per finire, il Chelsea di Andrè Villas-Boas se la vedrà con una vecchia conoscenza della Premier, il Portsmouth.
Il sorteggio è stato effettuato dall’ex allenatore del West Ham, Gianfranco Zola, e dall’ex stella dello Sheffield United, Li Tie. Le sfide di Coppa si disputeranno nel weekend del 7 e 8 gennaio prossimi. La formula prevede che qualora il match dovesse terminare con il segno x, la stessa verrà ripetuta ma a campi invertiti.
